Retro-Nose: Bush Blasts Critics Again, Crosses Proverbial Line
President Bush’s recent speeches that take his intellectually dishonest critics to task have been met with great praise by Republicans nationwide. The general feeling among his conservative base can best be summed up by the phrase: “It’s about time.”
However, even some of the president’s most ardent supporters have expressed concern over the personal attacks against Democrats that are contained in his latest speech.
“I think President Bush may have gotten a bit carried away,” stated one White House insider. “Sure, his statements are factually correct, but they may be a touch harsh.”
Some of the excerpts in question include:
“…and furthermore, apart from being a sot, a disastrous drinking buddy and an abettor of rape, Ted Kennedy is only able to achieve an erection by watching bunny rabbits being strangled.”
“Anyone with working ears is aware of the fact that John Kerry is a Vietnam veteran. What many people may not know is that he is a raging homosexual. I’m talking major-league nancy-boy. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I’m just sayin’…”
“Barbara Boxer? Bi-polar.”
“… Jay Rockefeller is not only a huge fan of Islamofascist prisoners of war, he also enjoys a little Colombian marching powder if you know what I mean. Big time coke-head.”
“Jesse Jackson is to helping black people what Ted Kennedy is to helping drowning victims.”
“And although I have a great deal of personal affinity for Charlie Rangel, the fact that I have personally seen him arguing with a Snicker’s bar on several occasion needs to be made public.”
In keeping with his new uber-confrontational style, the president is set to give this speech in it’s entirety later today to the Berkeley Womyn’s Studies & Transgender Yahtzee Club.
